WHO IS Lìna Delaveine?

Lìna is the embodiment of the dark feminine - femme fatale. She is confidence and power.

Lìna explores the personal aspect of the person who plays her - Ange, as she feels a sense of duality to her identity - with Ange as who she presents herself with every day, and Lìna, her hidden other half.

Her aesthetic dabbles in dark feminine, medieval fantasy and 80s rockstar. Very unique mix of characteristics but it's who she is. Lìna's music captures passion and raw emotion, all of the things that a person experiences that only a song could portray.

About Ange

I'm Ange. I am 20 years old, and I am from Sydney, Australia. I have been writing songs since I could first comprehend what words were - instead of thoughts, my mind is constantly making a soundtrack for my life.

My biggest passion is singing. I take most inspiration from 80s music, specifically 80s rock. Majority of my songs are ballads and rock songs, however I want to have fun with my music and experiment with pop too.

Video

What you can find below is a short video to explain my connection to music growing up, my songwriting process, and to help you get to know me :) See the 'one-takes' below to hear some of my music or let me know if you'd like to hear more of my demos via my email.

What i want as an artist

TO GROW

To Work with Like-Minded People

To Work with Like-Minded People

To build an identity. I want to discover more about myself as an artist and create meaningful art. It is important to me to make music that reflects who I am and what I feel, rather than only following what is popular with other artists or short lived trends - it is important that my music is authentically mine and genuine.

To Work with Like-Minded People

I'd like to work with people who have a similar mindset to me - someone who is my friend, who I can have a laugh and an understanding with. I thrive being around other people who are down to earth and have a good sense of humour.  Being comfortable with vulnerablility and openess in the studio is super important to making great music, so having that kind of connection is something I need.

TO connect to people everywhere

To Work with Like-Minded People

TO connect to people everywhere

I understand that music is such a massive part of so many people's lives. Despite being the person writing the music, I know I will not be the only person that expresses myself through those songs. I want to be able to create art that people can relate to and see themselves in. I want to capture the feelings, emotions and experiences of people around the world with my music and connect with them through it.

About me as an artist

I find that I come up with lyrical concepts first, words and lyrics come very naturally to me. There will be certain things I want to write about or I will come up with a really good concept for a song but I can find it harder to find a melody that feels right. I get bursts of inspiration and creativity and in that time melody comes to me and I write my best songs then, but sometimes I’ll have the words and not the music to go with it. So I would like to work with someone where our abilities enhance eachothers - someone who can help develop a melody to go with those concepts and lyrics.

I am also looking for a producer that I can stick with. I think spending time with someone and forming a connection with someone will really help to make music together because once you have that familiarity with someone you can not only both understand each other well, but form an understanding of what you each want out of a song.

My first album is called Mademoiselle because it’s kind of like an introduction to lìna. Like, introducing: Mademoiselle, Lìna Delaveine. And then the albums that come after are kind of diving deeper into who she is and you get to know her on a deeper level. And I have very fun concepts for those albums to do that in a creative and interesting way.

One-takes

The Deepest Shade of Ocean Blue - Original Song

The deepest shade of ocean blue is my favourite song that i’ve written. It is pretty much about a friendship breakup between me and my best friend of seven years. I tried to capture the feeling of helplessness and feeling like i’m drowning in the situation. It’s very melancholic and the voices are meant to sound almost sireny to resonate with the ocean. It's a part of a second album i've written.

Flechazo - Original Song

Flechazo is a Spanish word that means "the feeling of being struck by cupids arrow/ when you have an intense connection with someone". This song is a passionate love ballad that begins with strings but slowly transitions into rock.

Delirium - Original Song

This song is about my school, specifically high school. I did not have a good experience in high school at all. At all. You will probs understand that after you listen to it. I also want to take this up a bit higher, which I did in the one-take version.

Department Disstrack

No, this isn't one of my studio-recorded original songs, but it is an example of my lyricism! I wrote this entire diss track to every department in my school as part of the year 12 muckup video which I also made, directed and edited (it's on my youtube channel). But I got my friends to dress up and do it with me and I thought this was worth showing...
